Partners

Fly a single-engine aircraft (type Cessna 150–172, Piper PA28, etc.) as pilot in command, in daytime and night-time visual flight rules (VFR) conditions and carrying a maximum of 9 passengers.

The commercial pilot may be paid for their services.

Prerequisites:

Hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
Be at least 18 years old
Meet the medical requirements of the Canadian Aviation Regulations—Part IV, Standard 424

Training hours

Minimum training hours as per Transport Canada:

200 hours total flight time (including PPL), including:
- 100 hours as pilot in command (including PPL PIC hours)
- 20 hours of navigation (including PPL)
